The assault resulted in the partial shutdown of the CTA tunnel and the T3 car park.

An additional two individuals are now in custody in connection with a theft at London's Heathrow Airport where 21 people sustained injuries by what is thought to be an irritant spray, according to law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in Lambeth for suspected theft and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. They both remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

The arrests come after a probe into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the incident, two women were robbed of their luggage upon exiting a parking garage elevator.

A toddler aged three was among the injured during the incident. Five people went to hospital for medical care and have since been discharged.

Police detained a man in his thirties on suspicion of theft and assault near the scene. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Police were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT following reports of several people injured by a noxious substance thought to be an irritant spray.

The assault - which police said was a standalone incident and not being treated as an act of terror - caused delays to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park for a short time.
